Diop will probably do well in a one off game of this magnitude. It’s when he has a run of games he turns to shit.

Moyes fault really for playing him against those snidey dirty fuckers on Sunday.

It could of course be mind games by Moyes, and Zouma will start....

No shock here.

Regarding centre back, we have four good centre back for two positions albeit Diop is having a poor season.

Having two out at the same time is just bad luck.

With he defense badly weakened, the strategy should be to just attack it from the off, and negate the need to defend.

When Diop is good he is very good. Unfortunately we won't know until the night whether it is the mistake prone Diop turns up.

I’d play Fredricks instead of Coufal, I mean I don’t rate him but purely for pace reasons I think he should start.

I mean who could have predicted that not having Any back up players in the squad would be a problem. Luckily we bedded all those youth players in... in that one game, never to be seen again

All the board's chickens have come home to roost.

We've been shouting and screaming for defenders since before the summer but unless they can pick up a Coufal or Dawson with the money they find down the back of the sofa they're not interested.

They are milking and milking their cow without feeding it. It's depressingly obvious to all but them that this was going to happen sometime this season. The players look out on their feet.

Imagine being 25 years old, paid £70,000 a week plus bonuses, and be so shit and incompetent at your job that you have to be told constantly where to go and what to do, every single time you have to perform at that job?

He definitely did something good in a previous life.

Don't get the situation with Johnson, who should definitely be starting ahead of Masuaku.

didn't I read on here that Ogbonna is in contention for a start or is that just wishful thinking on my part?

If he IS up for it I think he's much better at constantly telling Diop where to go and marshalling the back four generally.

Nah, having read that back it's plain to see I'm talking out of my arse! You've got to have a dream sometimes though, eh?

Hammer and Pickle 8:32 Tue Apr 12
Re: Kurt Zouma to be assessed before Lyon trip after twisting ankle in Brentford defeat
A back four of Coufal, Dawson, Diop and Johnson is surely not beyond the realms of possibility. What is the news on Johnson and Ogbonna?

Re: Kurt Zouma to be assessed before Lyon trip after twisting ankle in Brentford defeat
As said, the back 4 is championship level. The only chance we have is to outscore them, but usually we can't hit a barn door.

Massive blow, can’t see us winning now. It’s gonna be a championship standard back 4. Season over

We can confirm that Kurt Zouma will miss Thursday’s #UEL quarter-final second leg against Lyon through injury.

That's going by Coufal v Brentford where he doesn't look 100% fit yet still unsurprisingly.
